The Highlight of your Golf Tour will undoubtedly be Carnoustie which was the Host Course for the recent 2018 Open Championship won by Francesco Molinari. Golf is recorded as having been played on the hallowed Links at Carnoustie since 1560. When you play here it’s almost spiritual as you add your own chapter to Carnoustie’s history and follow in the footsteps of the thousands of golfers who have walked these links.
After the Magnificent Cruden Bay another stunning course there’s also the lesser-known Balgownie Links at Royal Aberdeen. Balgownie is said by many to most probably be the best course that most golfers will ever play in their lifetime. This incredible course, which is steeped in golf history, should be close to the very top of any golfers must-play list. There is after all a reason that Royal Aberdeen is not only rated as the Number 1 Course in Scotland’s North East but also Top 10 in Scotland and just outside of the World Top 50.
On your arrival day, you will get ready for Carnoustie with an afternoon warm-up round on Panmure to get you ready for the World Class Courses you are about to experience. The Course sits adjacent to the Old Course and is close to the Hotel.
Murcar Links is a fantastic addition to any golf tour on Scotland’s North East Coast. Located right next to Royal Aberdeen on a stunning stretch of linksland. The course is defined by its huge sand dunes, magnificent elevation changes.
The best Hidden Gem is Montrose 1562 . The Links, founded in 1810, are considered to be the seventh oldest course in the world. Golf is known to have been played on this land since 1562. In 1845 Prince Albert granted the club royal patronage and it Became Royal Montrose.
